OUR INSPIRATION

RICHARD'S STORY

Richard Delgardo Philippe Clarke was one of those extraordinary people who for 31 years dedicated his life to protecting and serving our community as a Police Constable and as a Sergeant with the Peel Regional Police Service. From his early days as an undercover officer to leadership roles in the Drugs and Gang Unit and the G20 Summit. Richard was the kind of officer and man we all aspired to be - steadfast, courageous, and deeply compassionate.

Tragically, Richard’s life was cut short by a sudden illness on January 31, 2022. His loss left a void not just in his family but in the heart of everyone who had the privilege to know him. Those of us who loved him - his friends, colleagues, and community members of over 40 years - felt called to keep his legacy alive. That’s why we created the Richard D.P. Clarke Memorial Association.

Richard Clarke was more than a Police Constable—he was a mentor, coach, and friend to many. Though he passed in 2022, his passion for helping others continues through our work.
